THE MMH AND EXTENDA SHOW THE ANDALUSIAN MINING SECTOR TO SPECIALIZED BRITISH JOURNALISTS

The organization of the Mining and Minerals Halls (MMH) and Extenda, the Andalusian Agency for Foreign Promotion, under the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior, have jointly facilitated the visit to Andalusia of two British journalists from international media specialized in mining.

Daniel Gleeson, from Mining International, and Nia Kajastie, from Mining Magazine, have seen first-hand the Palacio de Exposiciones de Congresos de Sevilla (FIBES), where the third edition of the MMH will be held from October 15 to 17, 2019, and have been informed of the preparations for this international event of the sector by the curator of the meeting and CEO of Atlantic Copper, Javier Targhetta, and the rest of the members of the Organizing Committee.

The meeting with international journalists was also attended by the Director General of Industry, Energy and Mines of the Junta de Andalucía, Manuel Vázquez; the CEO of the Association of Research, Extraction, Mining-Metallurgical, Auxiliary and Service Companies (Aminer), Luis Vega, and the Secretary General of the Spanish Confederation of Extractive Industries of Rocks and Industrial Minerals (COMINROC), César Luaces, together with representatives of the agencies Extenda and IDEA and FIBES.

During their three-day stay in Andalusia, the journalists also visited the facilities of MATSA, AGQ Labs, Cobre Las Cruces and Atlantic Copper, all in order to boost the international promotion of the Andalusian mining sector prior to the MMH in October.

The third edition of the Mining and Minerals Hall has already confirmed the participation of more than one hundred companies in the two pavilions that make up its exhibition area.

Thanks to the good reception of this new edition, the International Mining Show will once again become a reference event for the global industry, providing a space in which to share experiences and carry out commercial networking among the participating companies. For three days, the meeting will once again bring together important professionals and experts from the sector around a scientific program linked to the presentation of the most innovative technological trends applied today.

MMH is organized by the Asociación de Empresas Investigadoras, Extractoras, Transformadoras Minero-Metalúrgicas y de Servicios (AMINER) and FIBES (Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Sevilla), with the support of the Junta de Andalucía and the collaboration of different entities of the sector.
