More than 10,000 people have already visited, during the first two days of opening, the International Mining and Minerals Hall (MMH), whose third edition has ended with a large closing panel on the future of mining and the presentation of awards to personalities of the sector.
The Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Sevilla (FIBES) and the Asociación de Empresas Investigadoras, Extractoras, Transformadoras Minero-Metalúrgicas, Auxiliares y de Servicios (Aminer) have thus broken records for both visitors and conference attendees -more than 900, almost three times the number of the previous edition-.
In addition to the scientific program, which featured 70 speakers, 100 B2B business meetings were held as part of the Mining and Mineral Halls. Likewise, 20 Andalusian companies from the mining sector have held 120 business meetings with nine agents from four countries to present their products and services in the framework of a reverse mission organized by the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior, through Extenda-Andalusian Agency for Foreign Promotion, as part of the parallel activities.
The III Mining Exhibition has also demonstrated its international relevance by attracting the attention of congress participants from 20 different nationalities, as well as regional, national and international media.
The third edition of the Mining and Minerals Hall, curated by Javier Targhetta, CEO of Atlantic Copper, ends this afternoon with a large closing panel in roundtable format with the participation of the Ministers of Finance, Industry and Energy and Economy, Knowledge, Enterprise and University, Juan Bravo and Rogelio Velasco respectively; the president of OMEL, the electricity market of Spain, Carmen Becerril, and the president of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Andalusia (CEA), Javier Gonzalez de Lara.
The commissioner highlighted the efforts of the Seville Exhibition and Conference Center (FIBES) and the Association of Research, Extraction, Mining-Metallurgical, Auxiliary and Service Companies (Aminer) in the organization of this third Exhibition, which, as he pointed out, has broken records in terms of both visitors and conference attendees -more than 900, almost three times the number of the previous edition-.
In addition, Targhetta stressed that after “the excellent results” of this third edition of the International Mining Exhibition, and especially with the “enormous intellectual level” of the scientific program, Seville can become “the great international capital of mining”, and a reference for future appointments of the Mining and Minerals Hall.
