PEDRO SÁNCHEZ ACCEPTS TO BE PART OF THE HONORARY COMMITTEE OF THE MINING AND MINERALS HALL (MMH)

The Presidency of the Government has announced to the organization of the Mining and Minerals Hall (MMH), International Mining Exhibition, that the acting President, Pedro Sánchez, has accepted to join the Honorary Committee of this event, whose third edition will be held from October 15 to 17, 2019 at the Exhibition and Congress Palace of Seville (FIBES).

The Mayor of Seville, Juan Espadas, has also informed the organization of the MMH that he accepts the invitation to form part of this honorary body.

In this way, the Honorary Committee, chaired by His Majesty the King, Don Felipe VI, continues to gain support, thus demonstrating the dynamizing nature of this meeting for the mining and metallurgy sector.

It should be recalled that the President of the Junta, Juanma Moreno, joined this body a few weeks ago, which has the highest authorities of the State, the Presidency of the Government, the Regional Administration and the Municipal Corporation among its members.

MMH is certified by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness as a “Fair with Internationality concession” and, in its third edition, to be held at FIBES, Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Sevilla, from October 15 to 17, 2019, continues its journey as a reference point for the global mining industry, offering companies a space for commercial networking and professionals a forum for debate to share experiences and generate knowledge around the sector. Knowledge that, in this new call, revolves around technological trends in mining.

Under the direction of the Commissioner of the Exhibition, Javier Targhetta, it is promoted by the Regional Government of Andalusia and organized by the Association of Research, Extraction, Mining-Metallurgical and Services Transforming Companies (AMINER) and by FIBES (Exhibition and Congress Center of Seville), with the support of other entities of the sector.

Objective 2019: to improve the data of the previous edition.

The second edition of Metallic Mining Hall, held in 2017. closed with 10% more exhibiting companies, visitors and participants in the technical and commercial sessions compared to the first edition, which took place in 2015. In total, there were more than 120 exhibiting companies, more than 11,000 visitors and around 800 participants.

For three days, this meeting brought together leading professionals and experts from the sector around a scientific program of nearly 70 scientific and technical sessions focused on sustainability and the circular economy.
